Process Timeline

Our mission during this process is to be open and honest with you. We have provided the timeline so that you may click through the phases and learn more about each one and see how your input is being put to use.

The "Envisioning the Future" phase focused on a grassroots, person-to-person approach in which city staff and other citizens held “visioning” discussions with friends, family, co-workers and volunteer organizations. This phase was to determine the goals of the community for the future.

The "Understanding Options" phase involved a series of workshops focused on creating actions (or strategies) to reach the goals desired by the community, and included a community review of those goals and actions.

During the "Choosing the Future" phase, the resulting myPG sustainability plan was drafted and presented to City Council as a completed plan.

As part of "Designing the Outcome" the City has taken an early step toward implementation of myPG through a review of the Official Community Plan. Early public engagement has already begun. An implementation strategy for the Sustainability Plan is being prepared.

In our final phase, "Making it Happen", we will have made progress in the Sustainabilty Plan showing results in the community, and the City will be implementing the community’s chosen future path by incorporating the needed updates into the Official Community Plan.
