myPG is an Integrated Community Sustainability Plan, or ICSP, and is also a review of the City's Official Community Plan, or OCP. The term "Integrated Community Sustainability Plan", or "ICSP", is a mouthful to say and isn't an easy phrase to understand. Most organizations and communities rename their sustainability planning process to something easier to say and brand to their organization or community. myPG, is the chosen brand for the community of Prince George.

This page has links to other ICSP websites, the gas tax agreement, and resources on sustainability planning.

The Province of British Columbia's Smart Planning (ICSP) Initiative is detailed in the below link:

In BC, the BC Government contracted the Fraser Basin Council to help communities complete their sustainability plans, also called Smart Planning for Communities. The Fraser Basin Council is helping Prince George with our ICSP, and have been since the beginning.

Below are a few links of ICSP examples that have been completed by other cities. Each, of course, has re-branded their ICSP to a name for their community. Prince George has created the myPG brand name.

Calgary, Alberta's "Imagine Calgary" ICSP
Whistler, BC's "Vision 2020" ICSP
Whitehorse, Yukon's "Sustainability Plan" ICSP

A number of ICSP examples in BC communities are:

Kamloops, BC recently started their ICSP process
Williams Lake, BC also recently started their ICSP process
Dawson Creek, BC successfully completed theirs a few years ago, and now shares their success
Victoria, BC started their ICSP process in 2008 with a focus on youth involvement
Kelowna, BC completed a sustainablity plan as part of their OCP review years ago
Comox Valley, BC started their ICSP in 2007
